It's all the streets you crossed, not so long ago

I have this urge to visit a supermarket. I find extreme delight in walking between shelves of groceries and taking the time to look at every food section. Cookies... tidbits... instant noodles... canned food... cereal... dairy products... fruit juices... microwaveable food... gourmet... ... they take my breath away, i tell you.

It's amazing how many hundreds of brands exist just for say, ice-cream. Tonnes of local and imported brand names from Potong to Wall's to Meiji to Ben & Jerry's. Don't even start on the variations and flavours.

Well, i was told the world hasn't always been like that. There was a point in time when soap was just soap. It came in bars, and people used it for the laundry, dishes, and on themselves. Yes, hair and body same thing.

We're being surrounded by choices, choices and more choices as the years go by. See how every aspect of our life requires some form of decision making? Ipod or Creative Zen? Mocha Oreo Freeze or Choco Oreo Freeze? Southampton or Blackburn?

So, thanks for choosing to read this. *goofy grins*

The Soft Parade

The second toe on my right foot went under a door some coupla weeks back and now it's dead. Half the nail is now a funky shade of green! It looks as if Elvis, my nephew (who by the way turned 5 yesterday) used his green crayon on my toe. On top of looking mossy, the nail has kinda come loose. Though it isn't coming off, i'm sorry to say it died anyway. Bye bye Toenail. I hope you had a nice time walking me everywhere the past two decades. Will you miss my red nail polish?
